Abstract: This study aims to develop textbooks to write children's stories based on the education character for fourth grade students of Muhammadiyah elementary school in Surakarta Indonesia, and also to improve students' skills in writing children's stories that are included the education character in it. The subjects of this study are students and teachers. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The methods of the data collection are through questionnaire, observation, interview, and documentation study, supported by Focus Group Discussion and field notes. The analysis data used in this study is techniques of peer-debriefing by analyzing in depth to the subject. The discussion of the result of the data analysis uses qualitative descriptive. The results of this study prove that; (1) based on the results of the exploratory study, it is proved that many elementary schools which do not have textbooks with special specifications to help students in writing children's stories, that’s 100%; (2) based on the results of the Focus Group Discussion it allows to be internalized the characters education into textbooks of children's stories; (3) the product prototypes of the textbooks in writing children's stories based on character education for fourth grade students of elementary school

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of cognitive moral based on civics education teaching material in improving the moral judgement competence of the fifth grade elementary school students. This study is a quasi experiment using pretest-postest control group design. The subjects were 59 students of the fifth grade elementary school consisting of 31 students of experimental class and 28 students of control class. The treatment of the experimental class used cognitive moral based on civics education teaching material for about 8 weeks. Learning process in the control class is on the same material and time intensity, but they were not given a treatment. Technique of collecting data used is test. The test instrument consists of 25 multiple choice questions dominated by a moral dilemma. The result of independent sample t test shows that t value is higher than t table (2.161> 1.671). The results show that cognitive based civics education teaching material is effective in improving the moral judgement competence of the fifth grade elementary school students. The increasing moral judgement competence in the experimental class based on the acquisition score N-Gain 0.36 is the medium category.

Abstract: The problem found in higher education especially in learning Bahasa is that the undergraduates cannot meet the expected language learning outcome. This research aims to improve Bahasa competence through fast track-based participatory model in Tanjungpura University, Indonesia. The subjects of the research are the lecturer of Bahasa Education Department and the undergraduates of Chemistry Education Department, teacher training and education faculty, Tanjungpura University in the academic year of 2017/2018. This threecycle classroom action involves some steps as planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The instruments of the research are Bahasa competence test, field note, and observation guideline. The data are analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The research findings show that after joining the lectures: (1) there is improvement on undergraduates’ linguistic competence; almost 90% undergraduates get score >70 and (2) more than 70% undergraduates pass the test. The undergraduates’ Bahasa competence is improved since there are more of them that participate through various tracks in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Implementation of participatory model based on fast track gives positive impact with the improvement of Indonesian language competence of students in the learning of general basic subjects of Indonesian language.

Abstract: This research is intended to find the different of reading comprehension ability of student that teached by teaching Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) learning strategy within Know-Want to Know-Learned (KWL) learning strategy, the different of reading comprehension ability of student that have the high reading interest and low reading interest, and the interaction between learning strategy and studied reading interest on the reading comprehension ability. This study was a quasi experimental research methode design by 2×2 factorial design. Population of the research are all student at fifth grade of elem entary school in Laweyan district Surakarta in the academic year of 2017/2018. Samples were taken by cluster random sampling technique. The selected sample are Pajang 1 elementary s chool and Karangasem 1 elementary School. The data collecting uses test and non test technique. This research used two ways anava data analysis technique and used Scheffe method as a further testing after two ways anova with 5% of significance level. The result of research shows that a different of reading comprehension ability of student that teached by Directed Reading Thinking (DRTA) learning strategy within Know-Want to Know-Learned (KWL) learning strategy, there was a different of reading comprehension ability of student that have the high reading interest and low reading interest, and there was an interaction between learning strategy and reading interest on the reading comprehension ability .

Abstract: The objectives of this research were: (1) to describe the students’ and teachers’ needs on Indonesian literature textbook with characteristic education using ICT learning based, (2) to describe the development of Indonesian literature textbook model using ICT learning based, (3) to describe the effectiveness of the textbook using ICT learning based, 4) to describe the result of textbook dissemination using ICT learning based. The type of research used was research and development proposed by Borg and Gall. Research which was done through 4 stages, namely: (1) exploration, (2) model development, (3) model testing, and (4) dissemination. The exploratory stage used a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was done through document study, observation, interview, and questionnaire. Data analysis technique used was interactive analysis model. Model testing was done through experimental research. The results of this research were: (1) exploration stage showed that Indonesian literature textbook used in Public Elementary School 15, Public Elementary School 02 Kleco, and Public Elementary School 2 Sumber Surakarta had not been in accordance with the students’ and teachers’ needs, (2) Indonesian textbook was developed through preliminary field testing; and (3) model testing phase was done through experimental research in the main field testing. The value of tobtained (0.43) was then consulted to the value of ttable (with N = 90, α = 0.05) which was 1.64 so critical area {t <-1.64 or t> 1.64}. It could be concluded that tobtained (0.43) < ttable, as a result, H0 was accepted and the research was stated significant. In conclusion, Indonesian textbook with character education was effective to improve students' receptive skills.

Abstract: Penilaian merupakan salah satu komponen pokok dalam proses pembelajaran. Penilaian atau asesmen seharusnya dilakukan sebagai upaya untuk mengukur tingkat ketercapaian indikator pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan penilaian afektif sikap sosial berbasis teknik peer and self assessment pada kurikulum 2013. Metode yang digunakan dengan menggunakan metode diskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan studi pustaka. Hasil pembahasan dari penulisan ini menyimpulkan bahwa kemampuan afektif merupakan bagian dari hasil belajar yang memiliki peran sangat penting. Model penilaian afektif berbasis teknik peer and self assessment merupakan model penilaian inovatif yang sedang dikembangkan di dunia pendidikan karena model penilaian ini dapat memberikan dampak positif pada perkembangan kepribadian peserta didik .

Abstract: The objectives of this research we re: (1) to describe students ’ and lecturers ’ needs on poetry and drama appreciative textbook , (2) to describe the development of textbook model (3) to find the effectiveness of textbook model 4) to describe textbook dissemination. The type of research used was research and development. Research was done through 4 stages: (1) exploration , (2) model development, (3) model testing, (4) dissemination. Exploration stage used qualitative descriptive approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and questionnaires. Data analysis technique was interactive analysis model. M odel testing was done through experimental research. The results of this research were: (1) the exploration stage showed that the poetry and drama learning textbook used by Elementary Teacher Education Program (ETEP) student sin Surakarta did not meet the student s’ and lecturer s’ need , (2) model development stage producedappreciative poetry and drama textbook through preliminary field testing; (3) model testing phase was to test effectiveness of the textbook used t-test non- independent technique .It was obtained t obtain of 23 and t table( 90; 0.05) of 1.67. Thus, t obtained (23)> t table (1.67) which meant that the hypothesis was accepted (Ho was rejected). In conclusion, the Appreciative Poetry and Drama textbook model was effectively improve students' poetry and drama appreciation skills. Dissemination was done through national seminars, article writing in international journals, as well as the publishing of an Integrative-thematic Textbook of Poetry and Drama Learning with ISBN .

Abstract: Literary learning has not been taught appreciatively to PGSD students. It is urgent and needed to be done research on the development of appreciative literary textbooks. The purpose of this study is to: (1) describe the needs of students and lecturers about thematic-integrative appreciative prose textbook, (2) to describe the development of thematic-integrative appreciative prose textbook, (3) to find the effectiveness of thematic-integrative appreciative prose textbook, and 4) describe the result of dissemination of thematic-integrative appreciative prose textbook. The type of research used in this study was a development study developed by Borg and Gall. The study was conducted through 4 steps, namely: (1) preliminary stage, (2) model development stage, (3) model testing stage, (4) dissemination stage. The research approach used in the exploration stage was descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observation, documentation, and questionnaires. Data analysis technique was done using interactive analysis model. Model testing was done by conducting experimental research. The results of this research were: (1) exploration stage showed that appreciative prose textbook that was used in UNS Surakarta, UMS Sukoharjo, and UNISRI Surakarta did not meet the students and lecturers' expectation, (2) development stage of thematic-integrative appreciative prose textbook model was done through preliminary field testing; and (3) the effectiveness testing of the textbook (main field testing) found out that the value of t obtained (8.85) which was then compared with the value of t table for N = 90, α = 0.05 (1.67). Thus, t-obtained (8.85) > t-table (1.67), then the hypothesis was accepted (Ho was rejected) and the study is significant. This means that thematic-integrative appreciative prose textbook is declared effective.

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of contextual learning-based civic education textbook to improve the learning outcomes of grade V primary school students. This study is a quasi-experiment using pretest - post-test control group design. The subjects were 40 students of grade V primary school consisting of 22 students of experimental class and 18 students of control class. The treatment of experimental class is learning by using the contextual learning-based civic education textbook for 8 meetings. The learning process in the control class is on the same material and time span, but this class is not treated. The technique of collecting the data is using a test. The test instrument consists of 25 multiple choice questions. The result of independent sample t-test showed that the value of tcount is higher than ttable (5,937>2,024). The results showed that contextual learning-based civic education textbook is effective in improving grade V elementary school students learning outcomes. Improved learning outcomes in the experimental class based on the N-Gain score (0. 708) is in high category.

Outdoor learning stimulates the creative power and imagination of the students in order to put their ideas, thoughts, and ideas into poetry. In addition, the teaching and learning process will feel more alive and more fun than by doing the teaching and learning process in the classroom

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to describe (1) students’ and lecturers’needs on text-based and character-based Indonesian textbook; (2) development of text-based and character-based Indonesian textbook model; (3) the effectiveness of the textbook developed, and (4) the dissemination of the product.The method was research and development which consists of four stages, they are: (1) Exploration, (2) Model Development, (3) Model Testing, and (4) Disemination. The research approach in the exploration stage was qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was done through in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and questionnaires. Data analysis technique was done by interactive analysis model. Experimental research was done in the model testing stage.The results of this study: (1) exploration stage showed that the Indonesian textbooks used in UNS, UMS, and UNISRI Surakarta, have not been in accordance with the needs of students and lecturers, (2) model development stage produced a character-based scientific writing textbook through preliminary field testing; and (3) the effectiveness testing showed that the value of t obtained was 0.17 which then compared with the value of t table (with N = 90, α = 0.05) pointing 1.64. Thus, the t-obtained (0.17) > t-table (1.64), the hypothesis was accepted (Ho was rejected) and the textbook was stated significant.This means that the text-based and character-based Indonesian textbook was effective to improve scientific writing skills.

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe teachers’ perceptions towards the application of SPS in Elementary Schools in accordance with the current curriculum in Indonesia, namely 2013 curriculum. SPS is an important skill to be mastered by students so that they can understand other science concepts. In addition, SPS is important to improve scientific attitude and to produce a science product. This research is a qualitative research. The method of data collection is using questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive and content analyses. The results showed that SPS has been facilitated in the 2013 curriculum and integrated with 21st century skills. Teachers understood the importance of SPS in Elementary Schools, and some teachers had tried to apply the learning that facilitates the SPS. However, they still had difficulties in setting up objective and valid assessment instruments in accordance with indicators of achievement. Therefore, it is necessary to develop assessment instrument in the form of tests to measure SPS.

Abstract: The aims of research consist of the following (1) to know need analyze teaching materials related to the matter on writing kid stories in the fourth grade of elementary school, (2) to develop teaching material on writing kid stories based on contextual. The study employs descriptive qualitative and evaluative method which the data are collected by interview, observation, document analysis, and Forum Group Discussions (FGD), questionnaire, and test. Result of the research (1) The teachers still need the addition of teaching materials on writing kid stories as support, (2) Teachers need the new innovation about the developing og teaching materials on writing kid stories. Teaching materials on writing kid stories on contextual basis which can help the teachers as the teaching media in enlanging the sight on writing kid stories and the students are motivated in expressing idea, opinion and mind in a story. The results of the development of teaching materials to writing kid stories based on contextual grade 4th can be received well by learners.
