The Network Topology of the Interbank Market
TL;DR: In this paper, an empirical analysis of the network structure of the Austrian interbank market based on a unique data set of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB) is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Schumpeterian economic dynamics as a quantifiable model of evolution
TL;DR: In this article, a simple quantitative model of Schumpeterian economic dynamics is proposed, where new goods and services are endogenously produced through combinations of existing goods, and as soon as new goods enter the market, they may compete against already existing goods.
Journal ArticleDOI
Relative risk of arterial and venous thromboembolism in persons with cancer vs. persons without cancer-a nationwide analysis.
Ella Grilz,Florian Posch,Florian Posch,Stephan Nopp,Oliver Königsbrügge,Irene M. Lang,Peter Klimek,Stefan Thurner,Stefan Thurner,Stefan Thurner,Ingrid Pabinger,Cihan Ay +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors performed a population-based study on the risk of arterial thromboembolism (ATE) and venous thrombinogenesis (VTE) and found a strong association between cancer, ATE and VTE.
Journal ArticleDOI
Generalized entropies and logarithms and their duality relations
TL;DR: It is shown that this duality fixes a unique escort probability, which allows us to derive a complete theory of the generalized logarithms that naturally arise from the violation of this axiom, and how the functional forms of these generalized logs are related to the asymptotic scaling behavior of the entropy.
