Journal Article
High-affinity oligonucleotide ligands to human IgE inhibit binding to Fc epsilon receptor I.
TL;DR: Using rat basophilic leukemia cells transfected with the human high-affinity IgE receptor Fc epsilon RI, it is demonstrated that ligands IGEL1.2 and D17.4 competitively inhibit the interaction of human IgE with Fc1 ePSilon RI.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anti-inflammatory effect of thymoquinone in a mouse model of allergic lung inflammation.
Mohamed El Gazzar,Rabab El Mezayen,John C. Marecki,Mark R. Nicolls,Andrew Canastar,Stephen C. Dreskin +5 more
TL;DR: The data suggest that TQ attenuates allergic airway inflammation by inhibiting Th2 cytokines and eosinophil infiltration into the airways; thus demonstrating its potential anti-inflammatory role during the allergic response in the lung.
Journal ArticleDOI
Endogenous signals released from necrotic cells augment inflammatory responses to bacterial endotoxin.
Rabab El Mezayen,Mohamed El Gazzar,Michael C. Seeds,Charles E. McCall,Stephen C. Dreskin,Mark R. Nicolls +5 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that HMGB1 and HSP70 released from necrotic cells function as endogenous danger signals to augment the proinflammatory responses in monocytes/macrophage and that TREM-1 relays such signals to the cytokine expression cascade.
Journal ArticleDOI
International Consensus (ICON): allergic reactions to vaccines
Stephen C. Dreskin,Neal A. Halsey,John M. Kelso,Robert A. Wood,Donna S. Hummell,Kathryn M. Edwards,Jean-Christoph Roger J-P Caubet,Renata J.M. Engler,Michael Gold,Claude Ponvert,Pascal Demoly,Mario Sánchez-Borges,Antonella Muraro,James T. Li,Menachem Rottem,Lanny J. Rosenwasser +15 more
TL;DR: This document provides comprehensive and internationally accepted guidelines and access to on-line documents to help practitioners around the world identify allergic reactions following immunization.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dose dependence and time course of the immunologic response to administration of standardized cat allergen extract.
Anil Nanda,Maeve O'Connor,Miriam K. Anand,Stephen C. Dreskin,Lening Zhang,Brittany Hines,Diana R. Lane,William Wheat,John M. Routes,Richard T. Sawyer,Lanny J. Rosenwasser,Harold S. Nelson +11 more
TL;DR: The response to titrated nasalAllergen challenge, titrated skin prick testing, and allergen-specific IgG4 measurement to cat immunotherapy at 5 weeks is predictive of the response at 1 year.
