Journal ArticleDOI

Home‐range analysis using radio‐tracking data–a review of problems and techniques particularly as applied to the study of mammals

TL;DR: The review showed that even 25 years after the first radio-tracking studies, in the majority of papers there was still insufficient attention given to accurate and sufficient data collection, and to using appropriate and sophisticated analytical techniques to assess home-range size and configuration.
Journal ArticleDOI

Predation of wildlife by domestic cats Felis catus in Great Britain

TL;DR: Investigation of potential management practices that could reduce the numbers of wild animals killed and brought home by cats will be useful for wildlife conservation, particularly in suburban areas.
Journal ArticleDOI

Street lighting disturbs commuting bats.

Journal ArticleDOI

Habitat use by bats (Chiroptera) assessed by means of a broad-band acoustic method

TL;DR: Total bat activity was positively correlated with air temperature, and once adjusted for temperature, was significantly higher over rivers and lakes than over other land use types, and plans for land management should take into account the habitat needs of bats.
