Influence of Ion Beam Irradiation on Optical and Magnetic Properties of Transparent Mn Doped ZnO Thin Films, Suitable for Sensor Applications

TL;DR: In this article , the authors describe modification in physical properties of Zn0.95Mn 0.05O films by ion beam irradiation and show that magnetism is strongly correlated with intrinsic defects present in these films.

Ab-initio Study of Structural Phase Transitions, Electronic and Optical Properties of the Double Perovskite A2ScSbO6 (A=Sr,Ca)

TL;DR: In this paper, the electronic structures and optical properties of recently synthesized double perovskite $A_2ScSbO_6$ $(A=Sr, Ca)$ have been performed within the framework of density functional theory using WIEN2k.

Bulk Rashba spin splitting and Dirac surface state in $p$-type (Bi$_{0.9}$Sb$_{0.1})_2$Se$_3$ single crystal.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that the origin of the bulk Rashba spin splitting (RSS) is due to a structural transition to a non-centrosymmetric $R3m$ phase below $\sim$ 30 K. The existence of both the bulk RSS and Dirac surface states are confirmed by density functional theory calculations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Co and Mg doping at Cu site on structural, magnetic and dielectric properties of α-Cu2V2O7.

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of doping of both magnetic (Co) and nonmagnetic (Mg) ions at the Cu site on phase transition in polycrystalline α-Cu2V2O7 through structural, magnetic, and electrical measurements was studied.

Effect of Co Doping on Structural and Magnetic Properties of Kagome Like La Based Cuprate Francisite Cu3la(Seo3)2o2cl

TL;DR: In this article , the effects of Co doping on the structural and magnetic properties of a frustrated layered rare earth based synthetic analog of mineral francisite [Cu3La(SeO3)2O2Cl;(LaCufr)] have been investigated experimentally with a prior theoretical input.
