Journal ArticleDOI
1236 C/T and 3435 C/T polymorphisms of the ABCB1 gene in Mexican breast cancer patients
Susan Andrea Gutierrez-Rubio,Antonio Quintero-Ramos,A. Duran-Cardenas,Ramón Franco-Topete,Juan Manuel Castro-Cervantes,Antonio Oceguera-Villanueva,L.M. Jimenez-Perez,Luz María Adriana Balderas-Peña,Gilberto Morgan-Villela,A. Del-Toro-Arreola,Adrian Daneri-Navarro +10 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that the T allele carrier of the 3435 C/T polymorphism in the ABCB1 gene in combination with an estrogen receptor-negative status may be an important risk factor for breast cancer development in premenopausal women.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparative Study of Breast Cancer in Mexican and Mexican-American Women
Maria Elena Martinez,Luis Enrique Gutierrez-Millan,Melissa L. Bondy,Adrian Daneri-Navarro,Maria Mercedes Meza-Montenegro,Ivan Anduro-Corona,Ma Isabel Aramburo-Rubio,Luz María Adriana Balderas-Peña,José Adelfo Barragan-Ruiz,Abenaa M. Wertheim,Rachel Zenuk,Patricia A. Thompson +38 more
TL;DR: Results show that differences in breast cancer risk factor patterns exist between Mexico and U.S. women and provide lessons learned from the conduct of the ELLA Study.
Journal ArticleDOI
Association of RETN and CAP1 SNPs, Expression and Serum Resistin Levels with Breast Cancer in Mexican Women.
Alejandrina Muñoz-Palomeque,Miguel Angel Guerrero-Ramirez,Lidia Ariadna Rubio-Chavez,Roberto Carlos Rosales-Gomez,María Guadalupe López-Cardona,María Guadalupe López-Cardona,Victor Hugo Barajas-Avila,Alfredo Delgadillo-Barrera,Juan Carlos Cantón-Romero,Héctor Montoya-Fuentes,Teresa Arcelia Garcia-Cobian,Susan Andrea Gutierrez-Rubio +11 more
TL;DR: The RETN and CAP1 polymorphisms and gene expression may be potential biomarkers for breast cancer risk.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adhesion, proliferation, and apoptosis in different molecular portraits of breast cancer treated with silver nanoparticles and its pathway-network analysis.
Christian M. Rodríguez-Razón,Irinea Yañez-Sanchez,Vicente O Ramos-Santillan,Celso Velásquez-Ordoñez,Susan Andrea Gutierrez-Rubio,Maritza Roxana Garcia-Garcia,Rocío Ivette López-Roa,Pedro Ernesto Sánchez-Hernández,Adrian Daneri-Navarro,Trinidad García-Iglesias +9 more
TL;DR: Exposure to AgNPs causes an antiproliferative, apoptotic, and anti-adhesive effect in breast cancer cell lines cultured in vitro, mainly on adhesion by changes in the extracellular matrix.
Journal ArticleDOI
Association between polymorphisms in the thymidylate synthase gene and risk of breast cancer in a Mexican population
Antonio Quintero-Ramos,Susan Andrea Gutierrez-Rubio,A. Del Toro-Arreola,Ramón Franco-Topete,Antonio Oceguera-Villanueva,L.M. Jimenez-Perez,Juan Manuel Castro-Cervantes,A. Barragan-Ruiz,J.G. Vazquez-Camacho,Adrian Daneri-Navarro +9 more
TL;DR: It is found that the TSER and TS 3'-UTR SNPs are not associated with BC risk in Mexican patients.
