Journal ArticleDOI
Localization of epidermal growth factor receptor in hepatocyte nuclei.
Ulrich Marti,Susan Jo Burwen,Susan Jo Burwen,Alan Wells,Mary E. Barker,Sandra Huling,Anna Feren,Albert L. Jones +7 more
TL;DR: Experiments undertaken to investigate the binding of epidermal growth factor by hepatocyte nuclei showed that isolated nuclei from both normal and regenerating rat liver are capable of binding 125I‐epidermal grow factor.
Journal ArticleDOI
The association of polypeptide hormones and growth factors with the nuclei of target cells
TL;DR: Evidence accumulated over the past decade suggests that polypeptide hormones and growth factors may also have nuclear sites of action in addition to steroid and thyroid hormones.
Book ChapterDOI
Subcellular and Molecular Mechanisms of Bile Secretion
TL;DR: This review has summarized the source of various biliary components, the route by which they end up in bile, including the underlying subcellular and molecular mechanisms, and their contribution to bile formation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Isoflurane as an anesthetic for experimental animal surgery
Steven E. Raper,Mary E. Barker,Mary E. Barker,Susan Jo Burwen,Susan Jo Burwen,Albert L. Jones,Albert L. Jones +6 more
TL;DR: Livers from rats treating with pentobarbital or diethylether were compared to those from rats treated with isoflurane to determine differences in biochemical and morphologic parameters.
