TL;DR: This article examined the professionalisation of the coaching occupation over a period of 50 years starting by the end of the nineteenth century and identified the sociological connections that characterised the professionalization of coaches in Hungary, a country outside of Anglo-Saxon cultural and linguistic boundaries, but one that exhibited significant sporting power in the past.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyse the value priorities of those participating in sports, attending sporting events or watching such events on television, in comparison to those who are not involved, and find that the involvement in participating in, attending, and watching sports correlates with one other; however, the related value orientation demonstrates a paradox.
