Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical and prognostic relevance of the Kiel classification of non-Hodgkin lymphomas results of a prospective multicenter study by the Kiel Lymphoma Study Group.
G. Brittinger,Heinrich Bartels,H. Common,E. Dühmke,H. H. Fülle,U. Gunzer,T. Gyenes,R. Heinz,König E,P. Meusers,M. Paukstat,Hans Pralle,H. Theml,Wolfgang Köpcke,C. Thieme,T. Zwingers,K. Musshoff,A. Feller,Karl Lennert +47 more
TL;DR: Investigation of the Kiel classification of non‐Hodgkin lymphomas found marked improvement of prognosis was solely possible by induction of complete remissions whereas in corresponding low‐grade malignant lymphomas also partial remissions were prognostically relevant.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multicentre randomized therapeutic trial for advanced centrocytic lymphoma: Anthracycline does not improve the prognosis
P. Meusers,M. Engelhard,Heinrich Bartels,T. Binder,H. H. Fülle,K. Görg,U. Gunzer,K. Havemann,W. Kayser,König E +9 more
TL;DR: Within a multicentre observation study on non‐Hodgkin lymphomas (NHL) diagnosed according to the Kiel classification advanced stages III and IV of centrocytic lymphoma, lymphoma exhibited the worst prognosis among lymphomas of low‐grade malignancy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Large-cell anaplastic lymphoma-specific translocation (t[2;5] [p23;q35]) in Hodgkin's disease: indication of a common pathogenesis?
TL;DR: It is found that some patients with large-cell anaplastic lymphoma (Ki 1 lymphoma) have the translocation t(2;5) (p23; q35), involving a possible growth-regulating tyrosine kinase, which allows a more precise definition of Hodgkin's disease and may be used as an indicator for clonality--which has long been sought.
Journal Article
Cytokine expression in T-cell lymphomas and Hodgkin's disease. Its possible implication in autocrine or paracrine production as a potential basis for neoplastic growth.
Hartmut Merz,A. Fliedner,K. Orscheschek,T. Binder,W. Sebald,Hans Konrad Müller-Hermelink,A. C. Feller +6 more
TL;DR: Results indicate that large amounts of growth factor transcripts are present in a variety of malignant lymphomas and demonstrates in individual cases that the expression is at least in part due to malignant cells.
