Raman spectroscopic studies of the OH stretching region of low density amorphous solid water and of polycrystalline ice Ih
TL;DR: Venkatesh et al. as discussed by the authors showed that the overall span and distribution of features in the Raman spectra of polycrystalline ice Ih and low density amorphous solid water (H2O (as)) are due to strong intermolecular coupling of OH oscillators.
Journal ArticleDOI
The 2500–4000 cm−1 Raman and infrared spectra of low density amorphous solid water and of polycrystalline ice I
TL;DR: In this paper, a new interpretation of the Raman spectrum of H 2 O (as) put forward by Venkatesh et al. is proposed based on similarities between the spectra of the amorphous and polycrystalline solids.
Journal ArticleDOI
Impact of BN and WC Particulate Reinforcements on Mechanical Properties and Damage Development of Al-2048 Metal Matrix Composites
T. C. Sivakumar,Chikkappa Udagani,M. Sivaranjani,M. Sudhakar,Reem Mohammed Alharbi,Neveen Abdel-Raouf,Ibraheem B. M. Ibraheem,Essam N. Sholkamy,Mahadeo A. Mahadik,Simon Yishak +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors evaluate how BN and WC particles affect the mechanical properties and damage development behaviors of aluminum alloy-2048 composite and demonstrate that BN particle reinforcement outperforms WC reinforcement in strength and flexibility for composites.
