Journal ArticleDOI

Bound magnetic polarons in p-type Cu 2 Mn 0.9 Zn 0.1 SnS 4

TL;DR: In this article, the spontaneous moment of a single BMP as a function of temperature and the concentration of BMP's was investigated using magnetization measurements, and it was shown that the BMP susceptibility at low temperatures is quite anisotropic.
Journal ArticleDOI

Magnetic ordering of the antiferromagnet cu2mnsns4 from magnetization and neutron-scattering measurements

TL;DR: The work at Tufts University was partially supported by NSF Grant No. DMR-9219727 as mentioned in this paper and the research in Zaragoza was supported by CICYT Grant No MAT94-0043.
Journal ArticleDOI

Exchange energies, bound magnetic polarons, and magnetization in CdSe:Co and CdS:Co

TL;DR: The s-d exchange energy between conduction electrons and ${\mathrm{Co}}^{2+}$ ions, obtained by combining the SFRS and magnetization results, is found to be \ensuremath{\alpha}${\mathit{N}}_{0}$=274\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}.
Journal ArticleDOI

Magnetization steps of nearest-neighbor exchange interactions in CdS(Co) and CdSe(Co) in fields to 60 tesla

TL;DR: In this article, the first expected magnetization step (MST) due to the nearest-neighbor (NN) antiferromagnetic exchange J1 between Co2+ pairs in CdS(Co) and CdSe(Co), is observed by differential magnetization measurements in pulsed magnetic fields up to 60 T.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anisotropy of the high-field magnetization of cubic Zn 1 − x Fe x Se

TL;DR: In this article, the magnetization of cubic cubic Zn was measured at temperatures 2.5 and 2.6 K in magnetic fields H along the [100] and [111] directions.
