The Design and Construction of the MICE Spectrometer Solenoids
B. Wang,B. Wahrer,Charles Taylor,L Xu,J Chen,Michael Wang,T. Juang,Michael S. Zisman,Steve Virostek,Michael A. Green +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the MICE spectrometer solenoid provides a uniform field for scintillating fiber tracker, which is produced by a long center coil and two short end coils, together with a uniformity of better than 1% over a detector region of 1000 mm long and 300 mm in diameter.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Design Parameters for the MICE Tracker Solenoid
Michael A. Green,Cheng-Yen Chen,T. Juang,W. Lau,Clyde Taylor,Steve Virostek,R. Wahrer,S.T. Wang,Holger Witte,Shiming Yang +9 more
TL;DR: The first superconducting magnets to be installed in the union ionization cooling experiment (MICE) will be the tracker solenoids as mentioned in this paper, which is a five-coil magnet with a 400 mm diameter warm bore that is used to provide a 4 T magnetic field for the experiment tracker module.
Journal ArticleDOI
Design, development and fabrication for BESIII superconducting muon detector solenoid
B. Wang,B. Wahrer,C. Taylor,C. Chen,T. Juang,Michael Wang,Zian Zhu,H. Chen,S. Xu,C. Yi,L. Zhao,H. Yang,J. Zhou,J. Hu,B. Huang +14 more
TL;DR: In this article, the BESIII thin superconducting solenoid will generate 1.0 T central field with a field uniformity of 5% within the drift chamber.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hall B Superconducting Magnets for the CLAS12 Detector at JLAB
L. Quettier,Volker D. Burkert,Latifa Elouadrhiri,D. Kashy,E Leung,W. Schneider,C Carter,J Chen,T. Juang,C. Taylor,L Xu,B Wagner,B Wahrer,B. Wang,Michael Wang +14 more
TL;DR: The status of the hall B superconducting magnets for the 12 GeV upgrade is presented in this article, where the authors show that with the upgrade of the CEBAF machine, hadron physics in Hall B will be extended to a new domain of higher mass resonances and the range of higher transferred momentum using up to 11 GeV electron beams and the upgraded CLAS12 detector.
Journal ArticleDOI
Design, Construction, and Performance Testing of a 6.5 T Superconducting Wavelength Shifter
C.S. Hwang,B. Wang,B. Wahrer,C. Taylor,C. Chen,T. Juang,F.Y. Lin,J.C. Jan,C.H. Chang,H. Chen,M.H. Huang,K.T. Hsu,G.Y. Hsiung +12 more
TL;DR: A three-pole superconducting magnet with an aluminum warm beam duct was designed and fabricated as an X-ray source in a 15 GeV Taiwan Light Source (TLS) or the 3 geV Taiwan Photon Source (TPS) as discussed by the authors.
