Tetragonal vanadates YVO4 and GdVO4 – new efficient χ(3)-materials for Raman lasers

TL;DR: In this paper, a room temperature multiple Stokes and anti-Stokes picosecond generation in tetragonal YVO4 and GdVO4 host crystals for lasing trivalent lanthanides (Ln3+) has been observed for the first time.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nd3+:Y2O3 Ceramic Laser

TL;DR: In this paper, a CW one-micron laser oscillation in new ceramic laser material on the base of cubic Nd3+:Y2O3 was demonstrated on an uncoated 1.5 at.
Journal ArticleDOI

72 W Nd:Y3Al5O12 ceramic laser

TL;DR: In this paper, a high-power continuous-wave polycrystalline 1% Nd:Y3Al5O12 (Nd :YAG) rod laser was demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI

36-W diode-pumped continuous-wave 1319-nm Nd:YAG ceramic laser.

TL;DR: Continuous-wave output at 1319 nm was obtained from a laser-diode-pumped 1% ceramic Nd:YAG laser with optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 12.5%.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chromium Doped Y3Al5O12 Ceramics – a Novel Saturable Absorber for Passively Self-Q-Switched One-Micron Solid State Lasers

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors demonstrated a laser-diode pumped all ceramic passively self-Q-switched laser with Cr4+:Y3Al5O12 ceramics as a saturable absorber and Nd3+: Y3Al 5O12 as a gain medium, achieving a 190W peak power with a 20ns pulse duration and a 12-kHz repetition rate at ≈ 900mW pumping power.
