Application of Taguchi-grey multi responses optimization on process parameters in electro erosion

TL;DR: In this paper, an endeavor has been made to derive optimal combination of electrical process parameters in electro erosion process using grey relational analysis with Taguchi method, which has been conducted with AISI 202 stainless steel with different tool electrodes such as copper, brass and tungsten carbide.
Journal ArticleDOI

Surface quality measures analysis and optimization on machining titanium alloy using CO2 based laser beam drilling process

TL;DR: In this article, an endeavor was made to analyze the effects of process parameters on surface performance measures while machining titanium alloy using Taguchi-Grey relational approach, it has been found that laser power has the high influent nature on determining the quality measures on surface roughness and taper angle in LBM due its importance of plasma energy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of process parameters on mechanical properties of hollow glass microsphere reinforced magnesium alloy syntactic foams under vacuum die casting

TL;DR: In this paper, an endeavour has been made to investigate the mechanical properties of hollow glass microspheres reinforced die cast magnesium alloy under vacuum die casting process, where the particle size, mass fraction, stirring speed has been considered as input process parameters.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measuring the influence of discharge energy on white layer thickness in electrical discharge machining process

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of a modified pulse energy generator system on white-layer formation in electrical discharge machining has been analyzed in stainless steel machining under the presence of dielectric medium.
Journal ArticleDOI

Multi Response Optimization of AWJM Process Parameters on Machining TiB2 Particles Reinforced Al7075 Composite Using Taguchi-DEAR Methodology

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of process parameters in abrasive water jet machining process while machining TiB2 particles reinforced Al7075 composite was investigated and the optimal process parameters combination has been found as water jet pressure (280 MPa), transverse speed (345 mm/min) and standoff distance (4 mm) among the chosen process variables and evaluated using confirmation test with 1.2% of deviation from mean MRPI value.
