On the propagation of ion acoustic solitary waves of small amplitude.

A first principle investigation is made on the structural, optical and magnetic properties of the pristine and several other transition metal (TM), Fe, Co, Ni adsorbed B8 structures. The adsorption of TM atoms alters the bond length of the B-B bonds in B8 structure. Furthermore, due to the adsorption, no significant deformation and the imaginary frequency in the IR spectroscopy was observed. From the analysis of thermodynamical parameters, it was observed that the TM atoms adsorption process on B8 was spontaneous, exothermic and ordered. Among our investigated structures, the most stable structure was NiB8 structure with an adsorption energy of -8.12 eV. The order of stability of adsorbed structures further was obtained as NiB8>FeB8>CoB8. TM adsorption made structures to absorb more energetic lights and widen the optical bandgap. Finally, only CoB8 structure exhibits magnetic properties and behave as a ferromagnetic material with a total and spin magnetic moment of 6.33 and 0.11 respectively.

Structural, optical and magnetic properties of B8, FeB8, CoB8, NiB8 nanoclusters: A DFT study

In this research, we demonstrated density functional theory (DFT) calculations using widely accepted B3LYP/SDD theory to investigate the structural, electronic and optical property for both pristine B 16 and metal (Na, K) doped B 16 structures. For the doping with the less electronegative atom (K 16 > Na-B 16 > B 16 . In addition, reactivity and stability of the structures were analyzed and global indices were calculated. For doped structures, UV-Vis spectrum confirms the absorption of light in the visible range and DOS spectrum was used to calculate the possible states of the structures.

Structural, Electronic and Optical Properties of Pristine and Doped B 16 Nanocluster: A DFT Study

An experiment was conducted in the Agriculture Field Laboratory, Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) during the period of April-August 2019, for the assessment of different weed control methods on growth and yield performance of transplanting aus (early summer) rice. The experiment was carried out with four (4) weed control treatments viz. T1 = No weeding (control); T2 = Hand weeding at 15 and 30 DAT; T3 = Pre-emergence herbicide (Acetachlore 14% + Bensulfuron methyle 4%); T4 = Post-emergence herbicide (Pyrozosulfuran ethyle 10 %) using two aus varieties viz. BRRI dhan 83 and BRRI dhan 65.

Assessment of Different Weed Control Methods on Growth and Yield Performance of T. Aus Rice

In this paper we have studied the modulational instability of a beam of high amplitude helicon wave in a magnetoactive piezoelectric semiconductor. The nonlinear response of electrons in the semiconductor plasma has been found by following the fluid model of homogeneous plasmas. The low frequency nonlinearity has been taken through the ponderomotive force on electrons, whereas the nonlinearity in the scattered helicon waves arises through the nolinear current densities of electrons. For typical plasma parameters in n‐type indium antimonide and for a considerable power density (∼20 kW cm−2) of the incident helicon beam, the growth rate of the modulational instability is quite high (∼107 rad s−1).

Modulational instability of helicon waves in a magnetoactive semiconductor n‐InSb

Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is an insidious and irreversible condition that eventually progresses to end stage renal failure and important cause of morbidity and mortality in children worldwide. However, the care of these patients represents a challenge for health care providers, which must pay attention not only to renal disease, but also to the various extra renal manifestations that affect growth and development. Evaluation of clinical and biochemical profile of children with chronic kidney disease can help to meet up this challenge.
Methods:  This cross-sectional observational cohort study evaluated clinical, anthropometric and biochemical variables of children with chronic kidney disease aged 2 to 16 years in the department of Pediatric Nephrology, Dhaka Shishu (Children) Hospital, Bangladesh, during July’ 2018 to December’ 2018. A total of thirty-six children with chronic kidney disease with creatinine clearance <60ml/min/1.73 m2 and on supportive treatment and haemodialysis were included. In control group, equal number of age and sex matched healthy children without any preexisting chronic diseases were included. Both study group and control group were assessed for sociodemographic data, nutritional status, clinical and biochemical parameters.
Results:  The mean age was 9.09±3.01 years in case group and 7.85±3.69 years in control group. In case group, 22 patients (61.1%) were male and 14 (38.9%) were female and the ratio was 1.5:1. In this study we found that a statistically significant decrease in Z-score for (Weight, Height and Body Mass Index) in the CKD patients’ group than control. In terms of blood pressure, 66.7% of patients in the cases group were hypertensive (P = 0.001). There was no significant difference of hypertension among CKD stages in this study. CKD Patients were found anemic with significant decrease in hemoglobin level. Anemia found in 35 patients (97.2%) in the case group than control (P=0.001). CKD stage 5 children had significantly lower hemoglobin level. Serum phosphate and potassium were significantly higher while serum calcium was significantly lower and parathyroid level was higher in case group than control.
Conclusion: The present study stated that CKD patients had significantly lower BMI and hemoglobin but hypertensive in comparison to case group. Serum potassium, phosphate and parathyroid higher but serum calcium level was lower in case group.
