HELIX-COIL TRANSITION OF POLY-α,L-GLUTAMIC ACID IN AQUEOUS SOLUTION STUDIED BY THE DISSOCIATION FIELD EFFECT RELAXATION METHOD
TL;DR: In this article, measurements of dissociation field effect relaxation in aqueous poly-α,L-glutamic acid were carried out and the observed relaxation was attributed to the helix-coil transition.
Journal ArticleDOI
A simple preparation of half N-acetylated chitosan highly soluble in water and aqueous organic solvents.
TL;DR: From 1H NMR spectroscopy, it was suggested that the sequence of N-acetylglucosamine and glucosamine residues was random, and the solubility of the half N- acetylated chitosan of low molecular weight was rather high even in aqueous dimethylacetamide and dimethylsulfoxide.
Journal ArticleDOI
Kinetic studies of the interaction between silver ion and deoxyribonucleic acid
TL;DR: In this paper, the interactions between silver ion and DNA were studied kinetically by the stopped flow method and the experimental results showed that the reaction between GC base pair of DNA proceeds in two steps and that between AT base pair with one step.
Journal ArticleDOI
Kinetic studies of the helix-coil transition in aqueous solutions of poly(alpha-L-glutamic acid) using the electric field pulse method.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cooperativity in the Binding of Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate to Amylose
TL;DR: In this article, the binding isotherm of sodium dodecyl sulfate to amylose was potentiometrically investigated by using amyloses of various degrees of polymerization from 32 to 1100.
