Purification and characterization of the colicin A immunity protein in detergent micelles
Ane Metola,Ana M. Bouchet,Marián Alonso-Mariño,Tammo Diercks,Lena Mäler,Félix M. Goñi,Ana Rosa Viguera +6 more
TL;DR: The physical characterization of detergent-solubilized protein indicates that phosphate-containing detergents are more efficient in extracting, solubilizing and maintaining Cai in a monomeric state, yet their capacity to ensure protein activity, reconstitution, helix packing, and high-quality NMR spectra was inferior to that of milder deterGents.
Journal ArticleDOI
A glutamine-based single α-helix scaffold to target globular proteins
Albert Escobedo,Jonathan G Piccirillo,Juan Aranda,Tammo Diercks,Borja Mateos,Carla Garcia-Cabau,Macarena Sánchez-Navarro,Busra Topal,Mateusz Biesaga,Lasse Staby,Birthe B. Kragelund,Jesús García,Oscar Millet,Modesto Orozco,Murray Coles,Ramon Crehuet,Xavier Salvatella +16 more
TL;DR: In this article , the binding of intrinsically disordered proteins to globular ones can require the folding of motifs into α-helices by concatenating glutamine side chain to main chain hydrogen bonds recently discovered in polyglutamine helices.
Journal ArticleDOI
NMR assignment and backbone dynamics of the pore-forming domain of colicin A
TL;DR: NMR assignment and backbone dynamics of the C-terminal domain of colicin A in solution identify ten α-helices that match those observed in the crystal structure, while the 15N{1H} NOEs show differential fast mobility for some of the inter-helical loops and the chain ends.
Journal Article
Abnormal concentration of porphyrins in serum from COVID-19 patients (vol 190, pg e265, 2020)
I. San Juan,Chiara Bruzzone,Maider Bizkarguenaga,Ganeko Bernardo-Seisdedos,Ana Laín,Rubén Gil-Redondo,Tammo Diercks,Jon Gil-Martínez,Pedro Urquiza,Eunate Arana,Marisa Seco,A. G. de Vicuna,Nieves Embade,José M. Mato,Oscar Millet +14 more
Journal ArticleDOI
A generalized approach for NMR studies of lipid-protein interactions based on sparse fluorination of acyl chains.
Alfredo De Biasio,Alain Ibáñez de Opakua,Mark J. Bostock,Daniel Nietlispach,Tammo Diercks,Francisco J. Blanco +5 more
TL;DR: A minimal fluorination scheme is presented, and the concept on di-(4-fluoro)-heptanoylphosphatidylcholine micelles and solubilised seven-helix transmembrane pSRII protein is illustrated.
