Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of anti-inflammatory drugs upon nitrate and myeloperoxidase levels in the mouse pleurisy induced by carrageenan.

TL;DR: The results indicate that the degree of inhibition of the tested drugs upon the parameters studied do not match, suggesting that differences in these effects may certainly interfere with their efficacy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pro-inflammatory effects induced by bradykinin in a murine model of pleurisy

TL;DR: The results indicate that bradykinin had a significant pro-inflammatory effect on the pleural cavity of the mice and this effect seems to be primarily mediated via activation brady Kinin B2 receptors which trigger the release of other mediators.
Journal ArticleDOI

Oral anti-inflammatory action of NPC 18884, a novel bradykinin B2 receptor antagonist

TL;DR: The results indicate that the novel non-peptide bradykinin B2 receptor antagonist, NPC 18884, exhibited selective intraperitoneal and oral anti-inflammatory properties when assessed in the inflammatory reaction induced by bradykinsin and carrageenan in the mice model of pleurisy.
