Journal ArticleDOI

Treatment strategy for main duct intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms of the pancreas based on the assessment of recurrence in the remnant pancreas after resection: A retrospective review

TL;DR: One-step total pancreatectomy can be avoided, and remnant total pancakes would lead to favorable outcomes even in patients with pancreatic recurrence, some cases of which seem to involve residual lesions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Long-term outcomes after total pancreatectomy: special reference to survivors' living conditions and quality of life.

TL;DR: Long-term outcomes after total pancreatectomy can be performed safely, even in elderly patients, and QoL after TP seems to be acceptable if patients are capable of self-management.
Journal ArticleDOI

Clinical significance of GNAS mutation in intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm of the pancreas with concomitant pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.

TL;DR: Investigation of the GNAS mutational status in pancreatic intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm with and without distinct pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and the significance of GNAS analysis using duodenal fluid in patients with IPMN found the status was consistent with that in tissue in 21 of 23 patients.
