Journal ArticleDOI
Should I fight or should I grow now? The role of cytokinins in plant growth and immunity and in the growth-defence trade-off.
TL;DR: The mechanisms by which the plant hormone cytokinin regulates both plant growth and response to pathogens are reviewed, and how cytokinins may connect these two processes, ultimately affecting the growth trade-offs observed in plant immunity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diurnal feeding as a potential mechanism of osmoregulation in aphids
Vamsi J. Nalam,Travis Isaacs,Sarah Moh,Jessica T. Kansman,Deborah L. Finke,Tessa Albrecht,Punya Nachappa +6 more
TL;DR: The hypothesis that night‐time feeding by aphids is a behavior that takes advantage of the low sugar diet in the night to compensate for osmotic stress incurred while feeding on high sugar diet during the day is tested.
Posted ContentDOI
Ecology and Epidemiology of Wheat Curl Mite and Mite-Transmissible Viruses in Colorado and Insights into the Wheat Virome
Tessa Albrecht,Samantha White,Marylee L. Layton,Mark D. Stenglein,Scott D. Haley,Punya Nachappa +5 more
TL;DR: Variation in WSMV resistance among wheat varieties; however a variety that harbored dual resistance to mite and W SMV had lower virus titer compared to varieties that contained single resistance gene, which suggests that pyramiding genes will ensure improved and durable resistance.
Journal ArticleDOI
Occurrence of Wheat Curl Mite and Mite-Vectored Viruses of Wheat in Colorado and Insights into the Wheat Virome.
Tessa Albrecht,Samantha White,Marylee L. Layton,Mark D. Stenglein,Scott D. Haley,Punya Nachappa +5 more
TL;DR: In this article , a study was conducted to determine the current profile of WCM and WCM-transmitted viruses of wheat and their occurrence in Colorado, including novel wheat viruses via virome analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Corrigendum: First insights into the virus and viroid communities in hemp (Cannabis sativa)
Judith Chiginsky,Kaitlyn Langemeier,Jacob MacWilliams,Tessa Albrecht,Whitney Cranshaw,Ana Cristina Fulladolsa,Marylee L Kapuscinski,Mark D. Stenglein,Punya Nachappa +8 more
TL;DR: Chiginsky, Langemeier, MacWilliams, Albrecht, Cranshaw, Fulladolsa, Kapuscinski, Stenglein and Nachappa as mentioned in this paper .
