Microwave digestion with HNO3/H2O2 mixture at high temperatures for determination of trace elements in coal by ICP-OES and ICP-MS

TL;DR: In this article, the microwave digestion method with a HNO3/H2O2 mixture for determination of 18 trace elements (Li, Be, V, Cr, Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ga, As, Se, Rb, Sr, Cd, Cs, Ba, and Pb) was validated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Gene expression profiles in rat lung after inhalation exposure to C60 fullerene particles.

TL;DR: Gene expression profiles revealed that few genes involved in the inflammatory response, oxidative stress, apoptosis, and metalloendopeptidase activity were up-regulated at both 3 days and 1 month post-exposure, suggesting that C(60) fullerene might not have a severe pulmonary toxicity under the inhalation exposure condition.
Journal ArticleDOI

Statistical analysis of the concentrations of trace elements in a wide diversity of coals and its implications for understanding elemental modes of occurrence

TL;DR: In this paper, the use of inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) and inductive coupled plasma mass spectrometric (ICP-MS) was used for the determination of trace elements in 24 coals from worldwide deposits of differing ranks and sulfur contents.
Journal ArticleDOI

Extraction of lanthanide ions from aqueous solution by bis(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid with room-temperature ionic liquids

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used bis(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid (DEHPA) with [1-Cn-3-methylimidazolium][PF 6 ] to extract five kinds of lanthanide metal ions.
