Journal Article

International Union of Pharmacology Committee on Receptor Nomenclature and Drug Classification.

TL;DR: This book aims to provide a history of web exceptionalism from 1989 to 2002, a period chosen in order to explore its roots as well as specific cases up to and including the year in which descriptions of “Web 2.0” began to circulate.
Journal ArticleDOI

Enhanced responsiveness of rat isolated aorta to clonidine after removal of the endothelial cells.

TL;DR: Results indicate that clonidine and noradrenaline activate receptors present in the endothelial cells and that these receptors are highly sensitive toClonidine.
Journal ArticleDOI

Calcium exchange in vascular smooth muscle, action of noradrenaline and lanthanum.

TL;DR: It is likely that the activation of alpha‐adrenergic receptors is responsible for both effects, because of the similarity of phentolamine rhoA2 estimated by measuring noradrenaline sensitive 45Ca uptake or norad Renaline evoked contraction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Blockade or reversal of the contraction induced by calcium and adrenaline in depolarized arterial smooth muscle.

TL;DR: Under the experimental conditions reported here, the response to adrenaline in Mesenteric arteries immersed in a calcium‐free depolarizing solution develops only about one‐third of the contractile tension developed in polarizing solution (modified Krebs bicarbonate).
