Impact of Home Quarantine on Physical Activity Among Older Adults Living at Home During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Qualitative Interview Study.
TL;DR: This study suggests that the COVID-19 epidemic has affected the number of seniors attending group physical activity programs in the two study territories, and despite the decline in their participation in group physical activities before the quarantine, older adults expressed the need to perform physical activity at home.
Journal ArticleDOI
Vitamin D and survival in COVID-19 patients: A quasi-experimental study.
Cédric Annweiler,Cédric Annweiler,Bérangère Hanotte,Claire Grandin de l'Eprevier,Jean-Marc Sabatier,Ludovic Lafaie,Thomas Celarier +6 more
TL;DR: In conclusion, bolus vitamin D3 supplementation during or just before CO VID-19 was associated in frail elderly with less severe COVID-19 and better survival rate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Recurrence or Relapse of COVID-19 in Older Patients: A Description of Three Cases.
Ludovic Lafaie,Thomas Celarier,Luc Goethals,Bruno Pozzetto,Sylvain Grange,Etienne Ojardias,Cédric Annweiler,Cédric Annweiler,Elisabeth Botelho-Nevers +8 more

TL;DR: This multicenter, randomized, controlled, open-label, superiority trial involved collaboration of 9 medical centers in France to test whether a single oral high dose of cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) administered within 72 hours after the diagnosis of COVID-19 improves the 14-day overall survival among at-risk older adults infected with Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).
Journal ArticleDOI
Vitamin D supplementation prior to or during COVID-19 associated with better 3-month survival in geriatric patients: Extension phase of the GERIA-COVID study.
Cédric Annweiler,Melinda Beaudenon,Romain Simon,Mialy Guenet,Marie Otekpo,Thomas Celarier,Jennifer Gautier +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a quasi-experimental study was conducted to determine whether vitamin D3 supplementation taken prior to or during COVID-19 was associated with better 3-month survival in geriatric patients hospitalized for COVID19.
