Review of the Current State of Knowledge on the Effects of Radiation on Concrete

TL;DR: A review of the current state of knowledge on the effects of radiation on concrete in nuclear applications is presented in this paper, where the authors focus on changes in engineering properties of concrete in the evaluation of the long-term operation (LTO) and for Plant Life or Aging Management of nuclear power plants (NPPs) in Japan, Spain, and United States.
Journal ArticleDOI

Coincidence studies of capture and ionization in highly charged I q + -He and U q + -He collisions at medium velocities

TL;DR: Zero-degree electron spectroscopy, coincident with charge capture for 0.5 MeV/nucleon U{sup 30+} projectiles revealed that the free electron in transfer ionization is released from the projectile to its continuum and from high-lying Rydberg states of the projectile.
Journal ArticleDOI

Resonant dielectronic and direct excitation in crystal channels.

TL;DR: This work has observed dielectronic and direct excitation of H-like S and Ca and He-like Ti-like ions in silicon channels caused by collision with weakly bound target electrons which behave as a free-electron gas.
