Review of the Current State of Knowledge on the Effects of Radiation on Concrete
Thomas M. Rosseel,Ippei Maruyama,Yann Le Pape,Osamu Kontani,Alain B. Giorla,Igor Remec,James J. Wall,Madhumita Sircar,Carmen Andrade,Manuel Ordoñez +9 more
TL;DR: A review of the current state of knowledge on the effects of radiation on concrete in nuclear applications is presented in this paper, where the authors focus on changes in engineering properties of concrete in the evaluation of the long-term operation (LTO) and for Plant Life or Aging Management of nuclear power plants (NPPs) in Japan, Spain, and United States.
Journal ArticleDOI
Coincidence studies of capture and ionization in highly charged I q + -He and U q + -He collisions at medium velocities
Sheldon Datz,Rainer Hippler,L.H. Andersen,Peter F. Dittner,H. Knudsen,H.F. Krause,P.D. Miller,P.L. Pepmiller,Thomas M. Rosseel,R. Schuch,N. Stolterfoht,Y. Yamazaki,C. R. Vane +12 more
TL;DR: Zero-degree electron spectroscopy, coincident with charge capture for 0.5 MeV/nucleon U{sup 30+} projectiles revealed that the free electron in transfer ionization is released from the projectile to its continuum and from high-lying Rydberg states of the projectile.
Journal ArticleDOI
L- and M-shell x-ray production cross sections of Nd, Gd, Ho, Yb, Au, and Pb by 25-MeV carbon and 32-MeV oxygen ions
M. C. Andrews,Floyd D. McDaniel,Jerome L. Duggan,P.D. Miller,P.L. Pepmiller,H.F. Krause,Thomas M. Rosseel,L.A. Rayburn,R. Mehta,Grzegorz Lapicki +9 more
TL;DR: Article discussing research on L- and M-shell x-ray production cross sections of Nd, Gd, Ho, Yb, Au, and Pb by 25- MeV carbon and 32-MeV oxygen ions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Resonant dielectronic and direct excitation in crystal channels.
Sheldon Datz,C. R. Vane,Peter F. Dittner,J. P. Giese,J. Gomez del Campo,N. L. Jones,H.F. Krause,P.D. Miller,Michael Schulz,Harald Schone,Thomas M. Rosseel +10 more
TL;DR: This work has observed dielectronic and direct excitation of H-like S and Ca and He-like Ti-like ions in silicon channels caused by collision with weakly bound target electrons which behave as a free-electron gas.
Journal ArticleDOI
Resonant coherent excitation of Mg11+: Electronic collisions of state specified short-lived excited states in a crystal channel
