TL;DR: Transgenic overexpression of GmFT1a delayed flowering and maturation in soybean is confirmed, confirming that Gm FT1a functions as a flowering inhibitor, and implies that antagonism between flowering-inhibiting and flowering-promoting FT homologs in this highly photoperiod-sensitive plant may specify vegetative vs reproductive development.

But the method is not limited by the target gene for constructing the transgen organism, and can rapidly and precisely detect the insertion positions, boundary sequence and even the copy number of the transgenic gene.

TL;DR: In this paper, a protein related with plant flowering stage, an encoding gene thereof and application, was disclosed, and the gene GmFT1a was cloned from a late-maturing soybean variety through long-day treatment and is overexpressed in soybean so as to obtain a transgenic plant, and then the flowering stage of the transgeny plant is later than that of a wild type without being genetically modified.
