Load balancing is a standard feature of EFI XF 3.1 and later and is described in the manual provided with the product. However, in EFI XF 3.0, load balancing is not an officially supported feature and can only be achieved by manual ticket editing. Manual ticket editing is only recommended for experienced users. This document describes the steps necessary to achieve load balancing in EFI XF 3.0. NOTE: This method of load balancing cannot be applied to versions of EFI XF prior to 3.0.

Efficient data dissemination in cooperative multi-RSU Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs)

Computer programming is being introduced in educational curricula, even at the primary school level. One goal of this implementation is to teach computational thinking (CT), which is potentially applicable in various computational problem‐solving situations. However, the educational objective of CT in primary schools is somewhat unclear: curricula in various countries define learning objectives for topics, such as computer science, computing, programming or digital literacy but not for CT specifically. Additionally, there has been confusion in concretely and comprehensively defining and operationalising what to teach, learn and assess about CT in primary education even with popular programming akin to Scratch. In response to the growing demands of CT, by conducting a literature review on studies utilising Scratch in K–9, this study investigates what kind of CT has been assessed in Scratch at the primary education level. As a theoretical background for the review, we define a tangible educational objective for introducing CT comprehensively in primary education and concretise the fundamental skills and areas of understanding involved in CT as its “core educational principles”. The results of the review summarise Scratch programming contents that students can manipulate and activities in which they can engage that foster CT. Moreover, methods for formatively assessing CT via students' Scratch projects and programming processes are explored. The results underpin that the summarised “CT‐fostering” programming contents and activities in Scratch are vast and multidimensional. The next steps for this study are to refine pedagogically meaningful ways to assess CT in students' Scratch projects and programming processes.

Computational thinking in programming with Scratch in primary schools: A systematic review

Cloud computing techniques take the form of distributed computing by utilizing multiple computers to execute computing simultaneously on the service side. To process the increasing quantity of multimedia data, numerous large-scale multimedia data storage computing techniques in the cloud computing have been developed. Of all the techniques, Hadoop plays a key role in the cloud computing. Hadoop, a computing cluster formed by low-priced hardware, can conduct the parallel computing of petabytes of multimedia data. Hadoop features high-reliability, high-efficiency, and high-scalability. The numerous large-scale multimedia data computing techniques include not only the key core techniques, Hadoop and MapReduce, but also the data collection techniques, such as File Transfer Protocol and Flume. In addition, distributed system configuration allocation, automatic installation, and monitoring platform building and management techniques are all included. As a result, only with the integration of all the techniques, a reliable large-scale multimedia data platform can be offered. In this paper, we introduce how cloud computing can make a breakthrough by proposing a multimedia social network dataset on Hadoop platform and implementing a prototype version. Detailed specifications and design issues are discussed as well. An important finding of this article is that we can save more time if we conduct the multimedia social networking analysis using Cloud Hadoop Platform rather than using a single computer. The advantages of cloud computing over the traditional data processing practices are fully demonstrated in this article. The applicable framework designs and the tools available for the large-scale data processing are also proposed. We show the experimental multimedia data including data sizes and processing time.

Towards a framework for large-scale multimedia data storage and processing on Hadoop platform

Scratch Analysis Tool(SAT): A Modern Scratch Project Analysis Tool based on ANTLR to Assess Computational Thinking Skills

In practical application scenarios, direct attacking on a target system to test the impact of attack methods may expose an attacker's intent and result in the difficulty in evaluating the attack method. Therefore, it is essential to design a controllable target range for testing and evaluating the attack impact. In this paper, we construct an attack test platform in order to evaluate the attack impact from different attack tools or the combinations of these attack tools. According to “vulnerability–asset–service–mission” (VASM) relationship, we design a multilayered evaluation model VASM, which includes a four-layer information structure: vulnerability layer, asset layer, service layer, and mission layer, from bottom to top. Considering that each asset may have one or more vulnerabilities, we score the attack impact on each asset based on attack probability and vulnerability and calculate the operational capacity of an asset after an attack. Since services may be provided jointly by one or more assets, we calculate the attack impact on services utilizing the dependencies among assets. The attack impact can be transmitted layer by layer from bottom to top through the dependencies among nodes. Finally, we can obtain the attack impact on missions. We use an actual logistics management and tracking system as the target range and verify the effectiveness and validity of our evaluation model, i.e., VASM, on goods delivery. Experimental results show that VASM cannot only assess the attack impact directly but also conform to the actual situations accurately.
