Journal ArticleDOI

Platinum-promoted Ga/Al₂O₃ as highly active, selective, and stable catalyst for the dehydrogenation of propane.

TL;DR: A novel catalyst material for the selective dehydrogenation of propane is presented and a bifunctional active phase is proposed, in which coordinately unsaturated Ga3+ species are the active species and where Pt functions as a promoter.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structural investigations and magnetic properties of sol-gel Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 thin films for microwave heating

TL;DR: In this paper, Ni0.5Zn0.4 thin films have been synthesized with various grain sizes by a sol-gel method on polycrystalline silicon substrates.
Journal ArticleDOI

Basic metal carbonate supported gold nanoparticles: enhanced performance in aerobic alcohol oxidation

TL;DR: Gold nanoparticles supported by basic hydrozincite or bismuth carbonate are excellent catalysts for liquid-phase aerobic alcohol oxidation as mentioned in this paper, and the performance of a series of metal (Zn, Bi, Ce, La, Zr) carbonate supported gold catalysts depends strongly on the basicity of the support material.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structural and magnetic properties of sol–gel Co2xNi0.5−x Zn0.5−xFe2O4 thin films

TL;DR: In this paper, the properties of Co2xNi0.5−xZn 0.5 thin films have been synthesized with various grain sizes by a sol-gel method on polycrystalline silicon substrates using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, Xray photoelectron spectroscopy, and vibrating sample magnetometry.
Journal ArticleDOI

How metallic is gold in the direct epoxidation of propene: an FTIR study

TL;DR: In this article, a Fourier transform infrared study of low-temperature carbon monoxide adsorption was performed over Au/TiO2 and Au/ Ti-SiO2 under an atmosphere of the reaction mixture of oxygen, hydrogen, and propene.
