Journal ArticleDOI
Boosting CO2 hydrogenation via size-dependent metal-support interactions in cobalt-ceria-based catalysts
Alexander Parastaev,Valerii Muravev,E. Huertas Osta,Arno J. F. van Hoof,Tobias F. Kimpel,Nikolay A. Kosinov,Emiel J. M. Hensen +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the particle size of the support (ceria-zirconia) can be used to tune the metal-support interactions, resulting in a substantially enhanced CO2 hydrogenation rate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of Carbon Deposits on the Cobalt-Catalyzed Fischer-Tropsch Reaction: Evidence of a Two-Site Reaction Model.
Wei Chen,Tobias F. Kimpel,Yuanjun Song,Fu Kuo Chiang,Bart Zijlstra,Robert Pestman,Peng Wang,Emiel J. M. Hensen +7 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated thatgraphitic carbon will slowly deposit on the cobalt catalysts during CO hydrogenation, thereby influencing CO conversion and the FT product distribution in a way similar to that for predeposited graphitic carbon.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mechanistic aspects of n-paraffins hydrocracking: Influence of zeolite morphology and acidity of Pd(Pt)/ZSM-5 catalysts
Lingqian Meng,Gina Vanbutsele,Robert Pestman,Andreas Godin,Douglas E. Romero,Arno J. F. van Hoof,Lu Gao,Tobias F. Kimpel,Jiachun Chai,Johan A. Martens,Emiel J. M. Hensen +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of zeolite domain size, acidity, and metal type on n-decane and n-nonadecane hydroconversion was investigated for bifunctional Pd(Pt)/ZSM-5 catalysts.
Journal ArticleDOI
Breaking structure sensitivity in CO2 hydrogenation by tuning metal–oxide interfaces in supported cobalt nanoparticles
Alexander Parastaev,Valery Muravev,Elisabetta Osta,Tobias F. Kimpel,Jérôme F. M. Simons,Arno J. F. van Hoof,Evgeny A. Uslamin,Longchao Zhang,Job J C Struijs,Dudari B. Burueva,Ekaterina V. Pokochueva,Kirill V. Kovtunov,Igor V. Koptyug,Ignacio J. Villar-Garcia,Carlos Escudero,Thomas Altantzis,Pei-Yin Liu,Armand Béché,Sara Bals,Nikolay Kosinov,Emiel J. M. Hensen +20 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Pressure dependence and mechanism of Mn promotion of silica-supported Co catalyst in the Fischer-Tropsch reaction
TL;DR: In this article , the mechanism of Mn promotion of a silica-supported Co catalyst in the Fischer-Tropsch reaction has been studied at varying pressures up to 20 bar and the effect of Mn on the selectivities is reversed and the C5+ selectivity is decreased by Mn addition.
