TL;DR: According to the available medical literature, endoscopic biliary sphincterotomy should be added to Ko and colleagues' algorithms as an alternative treatment for prevention of acute recurrent pancreatitis and symptoms or complications of biliary sludge in persons who are not surgical candidates.

TL;DR: The presence of irregular tortuous vessels or perfusion defects on CH-EUS are sensitive and accurate predictors of malignant PLGs and can most accurately distinguish biliary sludge from other PLGs.
