Journal ArticleDOI
Endoscopic retrograde cholangiography in post-orthotopic liver transplant population with Roux-en-Y biliary reconstruction.
TL;DR: It is suggested that ERC is an effective and safe diagnostic and therapeutic modality with few or no complications when performed by experienced endoscopists in post–orthotopic liver transplantation patients with Roux‐en‐Y biliary reconstruction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Preoperative biliary stents in pancreatic cancer
Eduardo A. Bonin,Todd H. Baron +1 more
TL;DR: Pancreatic cancer patients with deep jaundice and expected delay prior to curative intent surgery are potential candidates for temporary biliary drainage, and placement of self-expandable metal stents could reduce stent-related complication rates such as early occlusion because of prolonged patency.
Journal ArticleDOI
Percutaneous endoscopic cecostomy: a case series.
Jack I. Ramage,Todd H. Baron +1 more
TL;DR: Percutaneous endoscopic cecostomy is a safe and effective treatment for both acute colonic pseudo-obstruction and neurogenic bowel when aggressive albeit conservative treatment is unsuccessful.
Journal ArticleDOI
EUS-guided gastroenterostomy in management of benign gastric outlet obstruction.
Yen-I. Chen,Yen-I. Chen,Theodore W. James,Amol Agarwal,Todd H. Baron,Takao Itoi,Rastislav Kunda,Jose Nieto,Majidah Bukhari,Olaya I. Brewer Gutierrez,Omid Sanaei,Robert A. Moran,Lea Fayad,Mouen A. Khashab +13 more
TL;DR: This research presents a novel probabilistic approach to estimating the response of the immune system to laser-spot assisted, 3D image recognition.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rectal indomethacin alone versus indomethacin and prophylactic pancreatic stent placement for preventing pancreatitis after ERCP: study protocol for a randomized controlled trial
B. Joseph Elmunzer,Jose Serrano,Amitabh Chak,Steven A. Edmundowicz,Georgios I. Papachristou,James M. Scheiman,Vikesh K. Singh,Shyam Varadurajulu,John J. Vargo,Field F. Willingham,Todd H. Baron,Gregory A. Cote,Joseph Romagnuolo,April Wood-Williams,Emily K. Depue,Rebecca L. Spitzer,Cathie Spino,Lydia D. Foster,Valerie Durkalski +18 more
TL;DR: Whether rectal indomethacin obviates the need for pancreatic stent placement in patients undergoing high-risk ERCP is investigated to determine whether PSP remains necessary in the era of NSAIDs pharmacoprevention.
