Journal ArticleDOI

Relative contributions of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) receptor subtypes in 5-HT-induced vasoconstriction of the distended human saphenous vein as a coronary artery bypass graft.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that 5-HT(2A) and 5- HT(1B) receptors similarly contribute to 5-ht-induced vasoconstriction in human distended SV, and when the SV is used as a CABG conduit, a combination of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) receptor subtypes would appear to be most useful to prevent 5-HSV-induced spasm.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microchimeric cells from the peripheral blood associated with cardiac grafts are bone marrow derived, long-lived and maintain acquired tolerance to minor histocompatibility antigen H-Y.

TL;DR: It was suggested that radiation-sensitive, bone marrowderived, long-lived MCPB play a significant role in maintaining acquired transplantation tolerance to minor histocompatibility antigen H-Y.
Journal Article

Preoperative peripheral naïve / memory ratio and prognosis of nonsmall-cell lung cancer patients.

TL;DR: The data suggest that the preoperative CD4(+) naïve/memory ratio may serve as a prognostic factor for nonsmall-cell lung cancer patients.
Journal Article

A novel interventional therapy using the combination of bilateral bronchial stent dilatation and percutaneous cardiopulmonary support for critical airway obstruction due to metastatic carcinomatous carina.

TL;DR: By the novel use of PCPS in advance for blood-oxygenation as a respiratory support, the interventional therapy of bronchial expandable metallic stents is safely performed, and the patient obtained a good quality of life without dyspnea until she died of systemic metastatic cachexia.
Journal ArticleDOI

Successful treatment of a bronchial inflammatory pseudotumor by bronchoplasty in an 8-year-old boy: Report of a case

TL;DR: The rare case of an 8-year-old boy in whom an inflammatory pseudotumor of the upper lobe bronchus of the right lung was successfully treated by bronchoplasty, effectively preserving right pulmonary function.
