Journal ArticleDOI
Hypofractionated stereotactic radiotherapy (HypoFXSRT) for stage I non-small cell lung cancer: updated results of 257 patients in a Japanese multi-institutional study.
Hiroshi Onishi,Hiroki Shirato,Yasushi Nagata,Masahiro Hiraoka,Masaharu Fujino,Kotaro Gomi,Yuzuru Niibe,Katsuyuki Karasawa,Kazushige Hayakawa,Yoshihiro Takai,Tomoki Kimura,A. Takeda,Atsushi Ouchi,Masato Hareyama,Masaki Kokubo,Ryusuke Hara,Jun Itami,Kazunari Yamada,Tsutomu Araki +18 more
TL;DR: HypoFXSRT with a BED of less than 180 Gy was almost safe for stage I NSCLC, and the local control and overall survival rates in 5 years with a AED of 100 Gy or more were superior to the reported results for conventional radiotherapy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) for operable Stage i non-small-cell lung cancer: Can SBRT be comparable to surgery?
Hiroshi Onishi,Hiroki Shirato,Yasushi Nagata,Masahiro Hiraoka,Masaharu Fujino,Masaharu Fujino,Kotaro Gomi,Katsuyuki Karasawa,Kazushige Hayakawa,Yuzuru Niibe,Yoshihiro Takai,Tomoki Kimura,Atsuya Takeda,Atsushi Ouchi,Masato Hareyama,Masaki Kokubo,Takuyo Kozuka,Takuro Arimoto,Ryusuke Hara,Jun Itami,Tsutomu Araki +20 more
TL;DR: Stereotactic body radiotherapy is safe and promising as a radical treatment for operable Stage I NSCLC and the survival rate for SBRT is potentially comparable to that for surgery.
Journal ArticleDOI
Imaging Study of Early Hepatocellular Carcinoma: Usefulness of Gadoxetic Acid–enhanced MR Imaging
Katsuhiro Sano,Tomoaki Ichikawa,Utaroh Motosugi,Hironobu Sou,Ali Muhi,Masanori Matsuda,Masayuki Nakano,Michiie Sakamoto,Tadao Nakazawa,Masami Asakawa,Hideki Fujii,Takatoshi Kitamura,Nobuyuki Enomoto,Tsutomu Araki +13 more
TL;DR: Gadoxetic acid-enhanced MR imaging is the most useful imaging technique for evaluating small hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) owing to its high sensitivity for early HCC.
Journal ArticleDOI
Liver parenchymal enhancement of hepatocyte-phase images in Gd-EOB-DTPA-enhanced MR imaging: which biological markers of the liver function affect the enhancement?
Utaroh Motosugi,Tomoaki Ichikawa,Hironobu Sou,Katsuhiro Sano,Licht Tominaga,Takatoshi Kitamura,Tsutomu Araki +6 more
TL;DR: The factors that predict enhancement of the liver parenchyma in hepatocyte‐phase of gadolinium ethoxybenzyl diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (Gd‐EOB‐DTPA)‐enhanced MR imaging are clarified.
Journal ArticleDOI
Islet cell tumor of the pancreas : Biphasic CT versus MR imaging in tumor detection
Tomoaki Ichikawa,Mark S. Peterson,Michael P. Federle,Richard L. Baron,Hiroki Haradome,Y Kawamori,Shigeru Nawano,Tsutomu Araki +7 more
TL;DR: Biphasic (especially PVP) CT and MR imaging have similar effectiveness in the detection of islet cell tumors if fat-saturated T1-weighted and delayed enhanced T1 -weighted MR imaging are included.
