Journal ArticleDOI

Direct human health risks of increased atmospheric carbon dioxide

TL;DR: Preliminary evidence indicates potential health risks at CO2 exposures as low as 1,000 ppm—a threshold that is already exceeded in many indoor environments with increased room occupancy and reduced building ventilation rates, and equivalent to some estimates for urban outdoor air concentrations before 2100.
Journal ArticleDOI

Metabolome analysis reveals a role for glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase in the inhibition of C. thermocellum by ethanol

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that a metabolic bottleneck occurs at the GAPDH reaction when the growth of C. thermocellum is inhibited by high levels of ethanol, and that this bottleneck could be relieved by expression of the gapdh gene from T. saccharolyticum.
Journal ArticleDOI

Machine Learning Classification to Identify the Stage of Brain-Computer Interface Therapy for Stroke Rehabilitation Using Functional Connectivity.

TL;DR: Investigation of resting-state functional connectivity in stroke participants undergoing BCI therapy across stages to identify discriminative functional changes using a machine learning classifier suggests delineation of stronger and weaker changes may inform more optimal designs of BCI interventional therapy so as to facilitate strengthened and suppress weakened changes in the recovery process.
