Influence of firing conditions on ceramic products: Experimental study on clay rich in organic matter
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect on ceramic products of firing conditions in the presence of abundant organic matter is assessed by reproducing two ancient firing techniques: pit firing, characterised by a high heating rate and short residence time in a reducing atmosphere; kiln firing, with a low heating rate, and long residence time, in an oxidising atmosphere.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hematite nucleation and growth in the firing of carbonate-rich clay for pottery production
TL;DR: In this paper, the evolution of iron-bearing phases in the firing of carbonate-rich illite and chlorite clay is described, and the authors show that hematite nucleates and grows in specific micro-domains located in former chlorite flakes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Heteropolymetallic complexes of 1,1′-Bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene (dppf). III. Comparative physicochemical properties of (dppf)MCl2 (M = Co, Ni, Pd, Pt, Zn, Cd, Hg)
Benedetto Corain,Bruno Longato,G. Favero,David Ajò,Giuseppe Pilloni,Umberto Russo,F.R. Kreissl +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, 1,1′-Bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene (dppf) metal dichlorides (metal = Co, Ni, Pd, Pt, Zn, Cd, and Hg) are examined as a class of related complexes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Polyoxometalate Derivatives with Multiple Organic Groups. 2. Synthesis and Structures of Tris(organotin) Α, Β-Keggin Tungstosilicates
TL;DR: A trisorganotin-substituted Keggin tungstosilicate heteropolyanions have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, infrared and Mossbauer spectroscopy, multinuclear NMR, and X-ray crystallography as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tetraoxolene radical stabilization by the interaction with transition-metal ions
TL;DR: In this article, the radical species DHBQ 3− bridging the tripositive metal ions was found to be present in the M(CHT) 2+ cation and 2,5-dihydroxy-1,4-benzoquinone (H 2DHBQ) in alkaline medium.
