Journal ArticleDOI

Removal of nitrate from aqueous solution by nitrate selective ion exchange resins

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented experimental results on the removal of nitrate by nitrate selective ion exchange resin, Purolite A 520E. The results showed that the presence of chloride and sulfate ions influenced the breakthrough capacity of the resin for nitrate removal.
Journal ArticleDOI

Separation of fluoride from aqueous solution by electrodialysis: effect of process parameters and other ionic species.

TL;DR: It was obtained that the separation performance of fluoride from aqueous solution increased when the initial concentration of fluoride in the feed solution increased, and percent removal of fluoride increased as the applied potential increased.
Journal ArticleDOI

Various applications of electrodeionization (EDI) method for water treatment—A short review

TL;DR: The main technological parameters determining the efficiency of an EDI module are the current strength, flow velocity in the dilute and concentrate compartments, temperature, and TDS (in both initial and purified water) as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Removal and recovery of boron from geothermal wastewater by selective ion exchange resins. I. Laboratory tests

TL;DR: In this paper, a column-mode study was performed using weak base ion exchange resin Diaion WA 30 for the separation of boron from H2SO4 solution, which was quantitatively eluted with 5% H 2SO4.
Journal ArticleDOI

Removal and recovery of boron from geothermal wastewater by selective ion-exchange resins — II. Field tests

TL;DR: In this article, column-mode removal of boron from geothermal wastewaters of the Kizildere Geothermal Power Station, Denizli, was performed using Diaion CRB 02 N-glucamine-type chelating resins.
