Journal ArticleDOI
J-Point Elevation in Survivors of Primary Ventricular Fibrillation and Matched Control Subjects: Incidence and Clinical Significance
Raphael Rosso,Evgeni Kogan,Bernard Belhassen,Uri Rozovski,Melvin M. Scheinman,David Zeltser,Amir Halkin,Arie Steinvil,Karin Heller,Michael Glikson,Amos Katz,Sami Viskin +11 more
TL;DR: J-point elevation is found more frequently among patients with idiopathic VF than among healthy control subjects and the frequency of J- point elevation among young athletes is intermediate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fever-induced Brugada pattern: How common is it and what does it mean?
Arnon Adler,Guy Topaz,Karin Heller,David Zeltser,Tami Ohayon,Uri Rozovski,Amir Halkin,Raphael Rosso,Shay Ben-Shachar,Charles Antzelevitch,Sami Viskin +10 more
TL;DR: Type I Brugada pattern is definitively more common among patients with fever, suggesting that asymptomatic BrugADA syndrome is more prevalent than previously estimated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Preventing sudden death of athletes with electrocardiographic screening: what is the absolute benefit and how much will it cost?
TL;DR: In this article, the authors estimate the costs of a national electrocardiographic (ECG) screening of athletes in the United States and the number of lives that would be saved by that program.
Journal ArticleDOI
Stimulation of the B-cell receptor activates the JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway in chronic lymphocytic leukemia cells.
Uri Rozovski,Ji Yuan Wu,David Harris,Zhiming Liu,Ping Li,Inbal Hazan-Halevy,Alessandra Ferrajoli,Jan A. Burger,Susan O'Brien,Nitin Jain,Srdan Verstovsek,William G. Wierda,Michael J. Keating,Zeev Estrov +13 more
TL;DR: Investigating whether BCR stimulation activates the JAK/STAT pathway in CLL cells results in activation of JAK2, which phosphorylates STAT3, and whether ruxolitinib treatment would benefit patients with CLL remains to be determined.
Journal ArticleDOI
Aberrant LPL Expression, Driven by STAT3, Mediates Free Fatty Acid Metabolism in CLL Cells
Uri Rozovski,Srdana Grgurevic,Carlos E. Bueso-Ramos,David Harris,Ping Li,Zhiming Liu,Ji Yuan Wu,Preetesh Jain,William G. Wierda,Jan A. Burger,Susan O'Brien,Nitin Jain,Alessandra Ferrajoli,Michael J. Keating,Zeev Estrov +14 more
TL;DR: It is found that unlike normal B cells, CLL cells metabolize FFAs, and inhibition of STAT3 is likely to prevent the capacity of C LL cells to utilize FFA, which suggests that Cll cells adopt their metabolism to oxidize FFA.
