Journal ArticleDOI
Recovery of valuable metal ions from the spent lithium-ion battery using aqueous mixture of mild organic acids as alternative to mineral acids
TL;DR: In this paper, a well characterized cathode material (LiCoO2) recovered from spent lithium-ion battery is dissolved in aqueous mixture of citric acid (chelating agent) and ascorbic acid (reductant) at 80°C.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rapid dissolution and recovery of Li and Co from spent LiCoO2 using mild organic acids under microwave irradiation.
TL;DR: The microwave‒assisted hydrometallurgical method is found to be simple and rapid to recover Li and Co from spent LIBs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Direct Correlation of Excitonics with Efficiency in a Core–Shell Quantum Dot Solar Cell
Jayanta Dana,Jayanta Dana,Sourav Maiti,Sourav Maiti,V S Tripathi,Hirendra N. Ghosh,Hirendra N. Ghosh +6 more
TL;DR: Shell thickness has been optimized to maximize the efficiency after correlating the shell controlled carrier cooling and recombination with PCE values and a maximum PCE of 3.88 % was obtained with 4 monolayers of CdS shell, which is found to be 57’% higher than compared to bare CdSe QDs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Recovery of molybdenum by solvent extraction from simulated high level liquid waste
Santosh Chikkamath,Dinesh Patil,Anand Kabadagi,V S Tripathi,Aishwarya S. Kar,Jayappa Manjanna +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, simple and a rapid solvent extraction method is investigated to recover Mo(VI) from simulated HLLW, where the (NH4)6Mo7O24·4H2O dissolved in 3M HNO3 was treated with ascorbic acid and KSCN to form orange red colored Mo(V)-SCN.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gamma (60Co) irradiation and thermal effect on redox behavior of interlayer iron in montmorillonite
Santosh Chikkamath,Jayappa Manjanna,Anand Kabadagi,Dinesh Patil,V S Tripathi,Aishwarya S. Kar,B. S. Tomar +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the effect of 60Co on the stability of Fe2+-Mt dispersed in water and found that the redox behavior of interlayer iron was significantly influenced by 60Co as well as thermal treatment.
