Prognosis of quality sensors in the Barcelona drinking water network

TL;DR: This work presents a data analytics approach consisting in two modules: fault diagnosis and prognosis, which allows to apply a predictive maintenance strategy reducing corrective actions.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Tilt Angle Optimization of Photovoltaic Panels

TL;DR: This paper investigates how to determine the optimum tilt angle and finds that by means of the proposed approach, the energy generation is increased in 10.54% thanks to being able to benefit from the maximum solar radiation.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Two-layer scheduling scheme for pump stations

TL;DR: A two-layer scheduling scheme for pump stations in a water distribution network has been proposed, which uses Model Predictive Control (MPC) to produce continuous flow set-points for the lower layer.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Probability-Guaranteed Set-Membership State Estimation for Polynomially Uncertain Linear Time-Invariant Systems

TL;DR: The proposed approach preserves time invariance of the uncertain parameters and fully exploits the polynomial uncertainty structure, to achieve tighter SM bounds, is illustrated by a numerical example with a comparison to a deterministic zonotopic method.
Journal ArticleDOI

Robust fault detection using inverse images of interval functions

TL;DR: In this paper, a robust fault detection test based on calculating the inverse image of an interval function is presented, which relies on tools from interval analysis such as set inversion or contractors to check if there exists a member in the family of models described with an interval model that can explain the measured data.
