Journal ArticleDOI

The mycorrhizal fungus Glomus intraradices and rock phosphate amendment influence plant growth and microbial activity in the rhizosphere of Acacia holosericea

TL;DR: It has been shown that plant growth was positively correlated to the metabolization of ketoglutaric acid, and negatively linked to the metabolites of phenylalanine and other substrates, which shows that microbial activity is also affected.
Journal ArticleDOI

Responses of soil microbial catabolic diversity to arbuscular mycorrhizal inoculation and soil disinfection.

TL;DR: The aims of the present study were to determine the influence of Glomus intraradices inoculum densities on plant growth and soil microflora functional diversity in autoclaved soil or non-disinfected soil, and to discuss the ecological influence of AM inoculation, with selected fungal strains and their associatedmicroflora on native soil microbial activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Response of native soil microbial functions to the controlled mycorrhization of an exotic tree legume, Acacia holosericea in a Sahelian ecosystem.

TL;DR: The results clearly showed that the use of exotic tree legume species should be directly responsible for important changes in soil microbiota with great disturbances in essential functions driven by microbial communities (e.g., catabolic diversity and C cycling, phosphatase activity and P availability).
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence des haies de Jatropha sur le rendement d’une culture de sorgho ( Sorghum vulgare ) dans la zone Ouest du Burkina Faso: cas du terroir de Torokoro

TL;DR: The results indicate that Jatropha improves the carbon content in the soil of 10%, and the organic matter content of 8% compared to the control, and positively influences the productivity of sorghum.
Journal ArticleDOI

Caractérisation des systèmes de production de Jatropha dans les exploitations agricoles de la zone Ouest du Burkina Faso

TL;DR: In this article, a semi-structured investigation based on a questionnaire has been applied on 210 farmers of Jatropha in 14 villages of the West zone of Burkina Faso.
