Three-dimensional simple cubic woodpile photonic crystals made from chalcogenide glasses
TL;DR: In this paper, the fabrication and optical characterization of ∼750nm feature-size simple cubic woodpile photonic crystals from As2S3 (n≈2.2) is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chalcogenide glass-based three-dimensional photonic crystals
TL;DR: In this article, a self-aligned method was proposed to build three-dimensional photonic structures from chalcogenide glasses using vapor deposition and direct holographic writing, which was shown to be intrinsically selfaligned, providing a simple way to build layer-by-layer photonic crystals.
Journal ArticleDOI
Films of chalcogenide glassy semiconductors: new phenomena and new applications
TL;DR: In this paper, a short review of recent new data on photoinduced phenomena in chalcogenide glassy semiconductors is presented, where new application of these films for fabrication of IR microlens arrays and photonic-band-gap crystals are also discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Photoluminescence and photodarkening effect in erbium-doped chalcogenide glassy films
TL;DR: Er-doped glassy As2S3 and As2Se3 films are prepared by vacuum co-evaporation of chalcogenide glass and Er CHG powder as discussed by the authors, which display strong 154 μm photoluminescence and keep the possibility of the photostructural transformations and photoinduced anisotropy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Polarization-dependent, laser-induced anisotropic photocrystallization of some amorphous chalcogenide films
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of light polarization on the photocrystallization process and on the properties of crystallized films was observed and the results indicated that large values of photoinduced dichroism in the films studied can be interesting for different applications of photo-induced anisotropy.
