Regioselective Functionalization of 7-Azaindole by Controlled Annular Isomerism: The Directed Metalation-Group Dance.

TL;DR: The regioselective functionalization of 7-azaindole by controlled annular isomerism employing a directed metalation-group migration is reported and a late-stage deuteration of an antipsychotic drug is described.
Journal ArticleDOI

A new convenient synthesis of bifunctional chelating agent 1-(4-aminobenzyl)-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane-N′,N″,N‴-triacetic acid [1-(H2NBn-TETA)]

TL;DR: In this paper, a boron-protection strategy was proposed for the bifunctional chelating agent 1-(4-aminobenzyl)-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane-N′-,N″-,N''-,N´-triacetic acid (4) via a bore-protection mechanism.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ferroelectric liquid crystals with fluoro‐ and aza‐fluorenone cores: the effect of stereo‐polar coupling

TL;DR: The chiral fluorenone mesogens (R) as discussed by the authors were synthesized usin 1998, and were used to synthesize the following mesogens: 1.1.fluoro, 2.2.octyloxy, 7.4.undecyloxybenzoyloxy, 3.3.azafluoren, and 9.9.one.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Practical in situ Generation of the Schwartz Reagent. Reduction of Tertiary Amides to Aldehydes and Hydrozirconation.

TL;DR: In this article, a new protocol (Cp2ZrCl2/LiAlH(OBu-t)3) is described for the generation of Schwartz reagent which provides a convenient method for the amide to aldehyde reduction and the regioselective hydrozirconation-iodination of alkynes and alkenes.
