In today's interconnected era, intrusion detection system (IDS) has the potential to be the frontier of defense against cyberattacks and plays an essential role in achieving security of networking resources and infrastructures. The performance of IDS depends highly on data features. Selecting the most informative features eliminating the redundant and irrelevant features from network traffic data for IDS is still an open research issue. The key impetus of this paper is to identify and benchmark the potential set of features that can characterize network traffic for intrusion detection. In this correspondence, an ensemble approach is proposed. As a first step, the approach applies four different feature evaluation measures, such as correlation, consistency, information, and distance, to select the more crucial features for intrusion detection. Second, it applies the subset combination strategy to merge the output of the four measures and achieve the potential feature set. Along with this, a new framework that adopts the data analytic lifecycle practices is explored to employ the proposed ensemble for building an effective IDS. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated by conducting several experiments on four intrusion detection evaluation datasets, namely KDDCup'99, NSL-KDD, UNSW-NB15, and CICIDS2017. The obtained results prove that the proposed approach contributes more potential features compared to the state-of-the-art approaches, leading to achieve a promising performance gain in the detection rate of 3.2%, the false alarm rate of 38%, and the detection time of 12%. Furthermore, ROC and statistical significance are analyzed for the identified feature subset to strongly conform its acceptability as a future benchmark for building an effective IDS.

As the oven technology, the information and communication technologies are ethical neutral for a simple reason: they cannot act without human mind. So, it is not possible to assign to them any responsibilities due to a choice. Technologies do not and will not have access to the chance of choose.

Actual Situation and Future Perspectives about SMEs’s Human Capital in Russia and other Countries

The transformation of production relations, which we have all witnessed during the last 20 years, has shown outdated existing theoretical approaches toward an understanding of the economy. The search for alternative ways of the economic development involves representatives of various scientific fields: post industrialism, information economy, sustainable economic development, new economy and others. Of particular interest is the concept of cognitive capitalism, which allows us to consider the transformation occurring “inside” of capitalism. This article proposes an approach to the study of the cognitive capitalism nature from the perspective of the Marxian theory, productive forces of society, and psychology. Methodological framework used has revealed contradictions of existing liberal-capitalist vector of development and the innovation-oriented economic formation.  This is based on the exploitation of economic agent’s creative work.  The technique, which allows us to assess the involvement of management in cognitive capitalism, is provided.

Creative work under cognitive capitalism conditions

The need for the study is justified by the development of flexible forms of employment in the economy with new job opportunities for the international division of labor. The paper analyzed new job opportunities and risks associated with flexible form of employment for the workers, employers and the state individually as well as in relation to each other. The study investigated the future prospects of flexible forms of employment along with its impact on the economic opportunities for the enterprises and workers and conclusion has been drawn. The impact of flexible employment was also investigated on the welfare of the population and the development of national economies in the context of globalization. Three forms of flexible employment: temporal flexibility, spatial flexibility and functional flexibility have been identified to achieve the research goal.
The prospects of flexible form of employment for the enterprise and employee were assessed based on the subjective approach. The rapid assessment and empirical analysis method were used to track the population dynamics and their interest in flexible forms of employment. The results show that the increase in the share of flexible employment in the economy is justified by the increased importance of creative labor in the labor market. Flexible workers represent a diverse population group in terms of the socio-economic structure. The active development of flexible forms of employment has been considered as a manifestation of the self-regulating economy and as a form of adaptation of the population to the changing socio-economic situation. The new agile business integration can reduce the costs of hiring a full-time employee and increases employees’ motivation level. The state needs to institutionalize new forms of employment in order to ensure the competitiveness of the national economy and to ensure budget revenues.
