Journal ArticleDOI

Zero-valent metals accelerate the neopentylglycolborylation of aryl halides catalyzed by NiCl2-based mixed-ligand systems.

TL;DR: In this article, the NiCl2(dppp)/dppf combined with the reducing effect of zerovalent Zn and of other metals was used to demonstrate a method for the dramatic acceleration of the rate and for the enhancement of the yield of Ni-catalyzed neopentylglycolborylation of aryl halides.
Journal ArticleDOI

Liquid crystalline polyethers based on conformational isomerism. 2. Thermotropic polyethers and copolyethers based on 1-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-2-(2-methyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)ethane and flexible spacers containing an odd number of methylene units

TL;DR: The nombre d'unites methylene est de 5, 7, 9 et 11 as discussed by the authors, and polyetherification catalysee par transfert de phase is de 5.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nanomechanical Function Made Possible by Suppressing Structural Transformations of Polyarylacetylenes

TL;DR: In this paper, self-assembling dendrons sterically disfavor the cisoid conformation through which 6π-electrocyclization proceeds in cis-polyarylacetylenes.
Journal ArticleDOI

A 13C-NMR study of the microstructure of polyphenylacetylenes prepared with MoCl5 and WCl6

TL;DR: In this article, the microstructure of polyphenylacetylenes prepared with MoCl5 and WCl6 catalysts in several solvents was studied by 13C-NMR spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Liquid crystalline polymers containing mesogenic units based on half-disc and rod-like moieties. I, Synthesis and characterization of 4-(11-undecan-1-yloxy)-4'-[3,4,5-tri(p-n-dodecan-1-yloxybenzyloxy)benzoate]biphenyl side groups

TL;DR: In this paper, l'olefine et le polymere present a mesophase plasmidique monotrope avec une texture optique en eventail, a.k.a. polysiloxane.
