Journal ArticleDOI

Atmospheric temperature measurements using a pure rotational Raman lidar

TL;DR: The use of a double-grating monochromator in the lidar for isolating two portions of the pure rotational Raman spectrum (PRRS) of N2 and O2 and suppressing the line of aerosol light scattering is experimentally shown to be very efficient.
Journal ArticleDOI

Rotation-vibration spectra of deuterated water vapor in the 9160–9390-cm−1 region☆

TL;DR: In this article, the absorption spectrum of mixtures of H 2 O, HDO and D 2 O has been recorded in the region 91615 to 93925 cm −1 with an absorption sensitivity of 10 −7 cm − 1 and a line-center determination accuracy of 008 cm−1.
Journal ArticleDOI

Radiative Transfer in Cloud Fields with Random Geometry

TL;DR: In this article, the importance of radiative transfer in broken clouds has been investigated and it is shown that mean fluxes and mean path lengths depend nonlinearly on cloud freedom.
Journal ArticleDOI

Water-vapor absorption spectrum in the 0.59-μm region☆

TL;DR: In this article, the rotational and centrifugal constants of the reduced Watson's Hamiltonian for the vibrational states (401, (321), (302), and (222) and constants of Fermi resonance (401)-(321),(302)-(222), and Coriolis resonance between the states (101, (112), (113), (120), (121), (122), (123), (124), (125), (126), (127), (128), (129), (130), (131), (132), (133), (136
