Simultaneous femtomole determination of cysteine, reduced and oxidized glutathione, and phytochelatin in maize (Zea mays L.) kernels using HPLC with electrochemical detection
David Potěšil,Jitka Petrlová,Vojtěch Adam,Bořivoj Klejdus,Josef Zehnálek,Libuše Trnková,Ladislav Havel,René Kizek +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an optimized HPLC-ED method was applied to determine femtomole levels of studied compounds in maize kernels, and the results showed that the most suitable mobile phase for the separation and detection of Cys, GSH, reduced (GSH), GSSG, gluathione, and phytochelatins (PCs) was found to be methanol and trifluoroacetic acid (TFA).
