Comparative studies of metamodelling techniques under multiple modelling criteria

TL;DR: This paper systematically compare four popular metamodelling techniques – polynomial regression, multivariate adaptive regression splines, radial basis functions, and kriging – based on multiple performance criteria using fourteen test problems representing different classes of problems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sequential Optimization and Reliability Assessment Method for Efficient Probabilistic Design

TL;DR: The sequential optimization and reliability assessment (SORA) as mentioned in this paper method employs a single-loop strategy, where a serial of cycles of optimization and assessment is employed, and the reliability assessment is decoupled from each other.
Journal ArticleDOI

Porous graphitic carbon nitride synthesized via direct polymerization of urea for efficient sunlight-driven photocatalytic hydrogen production

TL;DR: Low cost and environmentally benign urea was used to synthesize the metal-free photocatalyst graphitic carbon nitride (g-C₃N₄), and a porous structure with increased BET surface area and pore volume shows a much higher hydrogen production rate under simulated sunlight irradiation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hydroxychloroquine in patients with mainly mild to moderate coronavirus disease 2019: open label, randomised controlled trial.

TL;DR: Administration of hydroxychloroquine did not result in a significantly higher probability of negative conversion than standard of care alone in patients admitted to hospital with mainly persistent mild to moderate covid-19, and adverse events were higher in hydroxy chloroquine recipients than in non-recipients.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dots: facile synthesis and application as a "turn-off" fluorescent probe for detection of Hg2+ ions.

TL;DR: The selectivity experiments reveal that the fluorescent sensor is specific for Hg(2+) even with interference by high concentrations of other metal ions, and can be successfully applied to the determination of Hg (2+) in tap water and real lake water samples.
