Improvement of the secure dynamic ID based remote user authentication scheme for multi-server environment

TL;DR: It is shown that Liao and Wang's scheme is still vulnerable to insider's attack, masquerade attack, server spoofing attack, registration center spoofing attacked and is not reparable, and it fails to provide mutual authentication.
Journal ArticleDOI

Weaknesses and improvements of the Yoon-Ryu-Yoo remote user authentication scheme using smart cards

TL;DR: Security flaws of Yoon-Ryu-Yoo's protocols against masquerading attack, off-line password guessing attacks and parallel session attack resistance are pointed out.
Journal ArticleDOI

Security enhancement on an improvement on two remote user authentication schemes using smart cards

TL;DR: An enhancement of Wang et al.'s scheme is proposed and the criteria of authentication scheme which secures a user against the risk of attack over an insecure Internet environment is provided, for instance, session key agreement, mutual authentication and perfect forward secrecy.
Book ChapterDOI

A Secured Authentication Protocol for SIP Using Elliptic Curves Cryptography

TL;DR: This paper demonstrates that the proposed nonce based authentication protocol for SIP could not resist the password guessing attack and insider attack and proposes an ECC-based authentication mechanism to solve their issues and presents security analysis of the protocol to show that it is suitable for applications with higher security requirement.
