Thin-film preparation and characterization of Cs3Sb2I9: A lead-free layered perovskite semiconductor

TL;DR: In this paper, a two-step deposition approach is described for the preparation of large grain (>1 μm) and continuous thin films of the lead-free layered perovskite derivative Cs3Sb2I9.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lead-Free Inverted Planar Formamidinium Tin Triiodide Perovskite Solar Cells Achieving Power Conversion Efficiencies up to 6.22.

TL;DR: Efficient lead (Pb)-free inverted planar formamidinium tin triiodide (FASnI3 ) perovskite solar cells (PVSCs) are demonstrated and exhibit small photocurrent-voltage hysteresis and high reproducibility.
Journal ArticleDOI

Searching for promising new perovskite-based photovoltaic absorbers: the importance of electronic dimensionality

TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that perovskite-based solar cells should have a high electronic dimensionality, because of barriers to isotropic current flow, enhanced electron/hole effective masses and fundamentally deeper defect states.
Journal ArticleDOI

Parity-Forbidden Transitions and Their Impact on the Optical Absorption Properties of Lead-Free Metal Halide Perovskites and Double Perovskites.

TL;DR: It is shown that if B2+ is not Sn or Ge, Pb-free metal halide perovskites exhibit poor optical absorptions because of their indirect band gap nature, making them not ideal for thin-film solar cell applications.
