Journal ArticleDOI

TG study on pyrolysis of biomass and its three components under syngas

TL;DR: In this article, pyrolysis of sawdust and its three components (cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin) were performed in a thermogravimetric analyzer under syngas and hydrogen.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization of low-temperature coal ash behaviors at high temperatures under reducing atmosphere

TL;DR: In this article, coal ash obtained at 815°C under oxidizing atmosphere was further treated at 1300 °C and 1400 °C under reducing atmosphere, and the resultant ashes were examined by XRD, SEM/EDX and FTIR.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hydrogen production by methane decomposition over coal char

TL;DR: In this paper, coal char was used as a low-cost catalyst for hydrogen production by methane decomposition in a fixed-bed reactor and the results showed that the lignite char has a much higher activity than bituminous and anthracite ones and its initial rate is not less than that of activated carbon under the same condition.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of SiO2/Al2O3 on fusion behavior of coal ash at high temperature

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of S/A in the ash content is investigated by ash fusion temperature (AFT) test, thermomechanical analysis (TMA) and thermal dynamic calculation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of CaCO3 on slag flow properties at high temperatures

TL;DR: In this paper, experiments were conducted on the selected ashes with different additions of CaCO 3 for understanding the effects on slag flow properties including ash fusion temperatures, slag viscosity, temperature of critical viscoities and type of slag.
