Stereomutation of cyclopropane revisited. An ab initio investigation of the potential surface and calculation of secondary isotope effects
TL;DR: The transition states for single and double methylene group rotation on the singlet trimethylene potential surface have been located at the GVB/6-31G * level of theory, with one pair of electrons correlated as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Why Are Nitrenes More Stable than Carbenes? An Ab Initio Study
TL;DR: In this article, high level ab initio calculations find that nitrenes are more stable than carbenes, as indicated by the computed enthalpy differences of 25−26 kcal/mol between triplet phenylnitrene and the isomeric triplet pyridylcarbenes.
